Your heart is the most important muscle in your body. Every day, it beats 100,000 times, sending 2,000 gallons of blood surging through your body.

Being such a hard working organ, the heart has an elevated need for specific nutrients. If it’s not functioning properly, it affects your whole body

Your heart absorbs nutrients very quickly for the reason that your body is primarily concerned with keeping it beating!

To function properly, It’s vital that your heart has the proper nutritional balance in order to keep the correct rate, rhythm & tone. Importantly, the heart muscle responds both positively and negatively to your body’s nutritional intake. The old saying goes “the heart eats first” which means your heart can show nutritional needs before symptoms manifest in other organs.

We are pleased to announce that NHHC has added the Heart Sound Recorder (HSR) to our practice. This is a  computer-based, low-risk general wellness monitor which uses the principles of auscultation to observe heart sounds. The heart’s reaction to stressors (i.e., chemical, physical, nutritional, emotional) can be observed using this type of device. We use the Heart Sound Recorder, in combination with Dr. Nelson’s extensive applied nutritional knowledge, to uncover hidden imbalances and discover nutritional needs.

Understanding the Heart Sound Recorder:

During this non-invasive procedure, a specialized microphone is placed over each of the four valve areas of the heart while graphing the sound and movement. Certain types of heart stress can be monitored by observing the rate, rhythm, and tone of the heart cycle on the graph.
