There are over 155 known autoimmune type of disease related to the autoimmune condition.
Autoimmune disease can be a complex problem and you have probably been told that there is nothing you can do about it. You actually have control over your health in many ways. Understanding why it happened is important in moving forward to better health.
What is Your Immune System?
The Immune System is set up to protect you from any invaders or abnormal substances in the blood and body. There should be a delicate balance within your immune alliance (system), In autoimmune conditions there is an excess of auto antibodies in the system. These auto antibodies attack the very tissue (organ, gland, muscle) that they are programed or related to protect.
How does happen?
One of the reasons is a process called necrosis. Necrosis is cell death which causes the area to leak cell proteins into the blood, causing increased auto-antibody formation to that cell type.
Another cause is immune dysregulation. This happens when the two parts of the immune system aren’t balanced. The cellular side, which is completely fueled by nutrition, is weak. This weakness allows low level infections to develop. The antibody side of the immune system builds because of the necrosis and the chronic infections.
In time, the immune system reaches a “high alert” stage. The immune response is amplified, leading to the auto immune condition.
