Allergies are a common health issue that means something is not working right in the body. It is commonly thought that some people have sensitivities to certain stimuli like pollen, for example. The truth is, pollen and other allergens have the potential to irritate anyone. The difference is your body’s ability to deal with the stressor. Think of your body as a bathtub. You have a drain which filters or drains toxins and garbage out by way of the liver, kidneys, bowels, and skin. You also have the spout into the body which brings in toxins and stressors by way of the mouth, lungs, and skin. If the garbage going in gets in faster than the body can remove it — or the drain becomes sluggish — the water fills the tub and eventually overflows. The overflow presents as symptoms.
Many people come to us looking for help with other health problems and notice great relief from allergies as they “drain the tub.”
